Biography
"We only become what we are by the radical and deep-seated refusal of that which others have made of us."

Jean-Paul Sartre
I have worked as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist in private practice since 2017.
I am a member of the Contemporary Freudian Society, where I am Chair of the Scientific Programs Committee. Before becoming a psychoanalyst, I treated patients with severe and persistent mental illness as part of the Metropolitan Hospital Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.
Prior to my career in mental health, I was a professional musician, a member of two touring string quartets, and an associate member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra for 15 years. I hold a doctoral degree from The Juilliard School.
I am currently on the faculty of the Psychotherapy Program at the training institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society and also serve on the advisory board of the Art Gallery at Fountain House.
